The Work of Church Army Evangelists, Graham Nunn and Nick Russell
Church Army have 135 years’ experience of trailblazing work with people on the margins of society across the British Isles and Ireland. We work alongside statutory agencies, voluntary organisations and others, with the back-up of nationally-based research and training teams. We have 244 paid staff and evangelists and over 1,000 volunteers.
Church Army Evangelists, Graham Nunn and Nick Russell, carry out life changing work with children and young people, to help fulfil our vision ‘For everyone everywhere to encounter God’s love, and be empowered to transform their communities through faith shared in words and action.’
Graham works with Nancy Wang, an intern from China, in schools, churches and at events across Kent. The duo work tirelessly and with great enthusiasm. Graham says: “My passion is to show children, young people and families that God cares for them, whilst demonstrating that the Gospel is vibrant and alive.”
Nick leads a small team of staff and volunteers at our Greenwich Centre of Mission, working in some of the most disadvantaged communities in England. They reach out to children, young people and families through after school clubs, youth clubs and detached work to build long-term relationships of trust. Nick’s team instil life-affirming values and attitudes in local people as a tangible demonstration of God’s tenacious and eternal love for all.
